Naruko is one of the brands introduced in several episodes of the Taiwanese variety show <女人我最大>. It is a variety show which focus on women and their daily problems. It covers a range of topics from the latest fashion to horoscope readings and most of all skincare and makeup.
Lets get into the main topic,
this is the product I would be reviewing today. It is a night jelly or a night mask. This series is meant for oily skin. It has been introduced to be able to reduce sebum production effectively. It was highly raved about for a period of time by the variety show as mentioned above. Hence, in an attempt to satisfy my curiosity, I got one from Watson.
It has a slightly viscous texture to it. When applied, it is quickly absorbed leaving no oily or sticky finish. So no more worries about dust and hair getting stuck onto your face after application. Each application requires a really small amount, the recommended amount is a pea size portion for the whole face. The best thing about this is that it is a leave on mask. Yup, that means for all who are troubled with having to time your mask duration, this is the way to go!
I would recommend it if you are looking for relief from excess sebum production and wish for a more matte finish to your skincare regimen.
With this product in the SGD$20++ range, it is one if the more affordable skincare brands.
I would give it a 9/10!!

BaByliss Pro Perfect Hair Curl Pro Curling Curler Review
While scrolling through gmarket the other day, I came across the babyliss curler which have been raved about by some of my friends. in an attempt to get the mature wave hair look, I decided that it was worth the investment.
The curler was about SGD 30. I guess its a replica from PRC. Oh well. anyway, it took about 10 days to arrive. After which I opened it to have a go with my disheveled hair which have not been cut for far too long.
The curler has a few instructions you should abide by, it makes life better to follow.
1. You have to make sure that you use a considerably small amount of hair for each time you let it curl.
2. Make sure that the hair is tangle free.
3. abide by the temperature setting as instructed in the manual, this is because damaged hair may break easily.
This was the before and after. I would say, its quite a good turnout. This is one of the result from the 3 different functions available on the curler. There is the left curl, right and A which I think stands for Auto.
I suck at using curlers, So I had my sister do it for me. It was rather easy to use. You literally slot your hair into the given slot and wait for the beep to notify that its done. While my hair was being curled, there were several times when my hair got jammed into the curler. (but it didn't do anything much). It would actually also beep to let you know that our hair is jammed. (it beeps immediately after its jammed). It took several strands off me in total. But that was because I had lots of tangles.
The curler times the use for you so its relatively save. It shouldn't burn your hair. But its best to use a heat protection product. I would encourage the use of this product if you are a hair curler noob. Especially if you can't understand the usage of the hair curler rod. This might actually enable you to curl your hair yourself!

SKINNY MINT PART II | THE VERDICT |
It took quite awhile but here's my take on Skinnymint's effectiveness.
As I have mentioned before in Part I, caffeine is a major part of my daily life and Skinnymint's morning boost gave me an alternative to my daily addiction and night cleanse help me with clearing of my bowels.
Finally, after taking the 28 days teatox challenge, I came to a conclusion that, skinnymint does work. However, it works only if you maintain your daily exercises and controlled food intake. I know it sounds a little weird, because given that it is a slimming product, it is suppose to be effortless and without having you change your diet. But here is where I beg to differ, instead of saying it was a slimming product for me, it was more of a helping hand in creating a healthier lifestyle.
I actually tried the diet twice, once I almost completed but due to a sudden flu, I had to give it up while I ate my medication. This attempt was quite a success because, I was energized each day, I cleared my system almost everyday. The best thing was that I lost both weight and dress size. I was at my lowest record for the past 3 years. Even my friends could see that I changed and lost weight.
Then came the second not so successful attempt. This time time, it was not quite a success I would say. I gained and took it for granted that skinnymint would burn off the fats for me. Well, I was energized, but not so well in terms of the clearing of my bowels. It didn't take much to realize why the weight gain. I binged, I stopped my exercises. I went from a 5KM run to not even a short walk. That was how reliant I was. Thinking that skinnymint would be my savior, despite all the ungrateful attempts of shoving food down my throat.
Hence, I would conclude that Skinnymint is a product worth investing if you are determined to change your lifestyle to be more active. This is because the products works, especially if you are determined to keep your diet clean or at least maintain your diet. If you are looking for a product that help you lose weight despite your binges, then, I would actually tell you that its a waste of our money. It won't work if you don't work.

Nivea 3-in-1 Daily Deep Cleansing Exfoliating Wipes
This product caught my eye when I was hunting for some facial wipes in a desperate attempt to refresh myself for a dinner meetup in town. I was looking for something which cleans off makeup, facial dirt and oil. I would usually trust products that are more hypoallergenic or more established drugstore brands like Biore or Neutrogena, but the idea of it being exfoliating was interesting. So here was how it went.
The wipes on first use was super nice smelling! the scent was heavenly. It was not exactly the sweet floral scent or the fruit scent but somewhat musky and well..perhaps heavy for some.
It also has this stubble like things on the surface of the wipes which is meant for the exfoliating effect. The stubble weren't too rough on the skin it was actually kind of comfortable like a massage on the face The 3D stubbles also made the cleaning feel more thorough. The actual useability of the product was also great. It did serve the function of cleansing rater well. I was expecting a more oily finish from Nivea but this product didn't fail me, it was really catered for oily skin and it does help you remove all the impurities with out leaving your skin dry.
I would recommend it if you have oily skin and would like to try something new. However, the strong scent may cause some irritation for those who are sensitive to strong scents.
I would rate this product at: 3.8/5

Mise En Scene Damage care Repair serum
During my stay in korea, I had my hair done in one of the local hair salon. The service here was super! I was really thrilled and had the ends of my hair and some parts of the rest of my medium length hair bleached and dyed in a shade of ash grey brown.
After the bleaching, my hair was literally grassy. Partly because I am not used to using conditioner on my hair. As compared to a conditioner, I prefer hair oils. They have a more lasting effect over the period of the whole day. I use to apply argan oil once a week before I had my hair bleached. It was a staple hair repair procedure till it was damaged by my vanity need to colour my hair.
While I was in Korea, I couldn't find the brand of Argan oil I use at home, back in Singapore. Hence, I picked up Mise En Scene Damage care Repair serum over at Home Plus in Seoul. It was a risky buy as I didn't know how good the product was but I was a little desperate. Hence, I just invested in any that was within my small financial budget in Seoul.
This product turned out to be fantastic!! It is something which does not cause the hair to be excessively oily, yet keeps the hair soft and silky till your next wash despite me skipping on conditioner during my daily washes. I was a little concerned if it would cause my back to break out in acne like some of the conditioners. However, it proofed its worth! This product is definitely a keeper!
It comes in a bottle of 70ml and requires only one or two pumps for the ends of the hair. I apply it before and after I blow dry my hair at night and once after I wash up in the morning. I would definitely recommend it if you have had your done and it is drying out badly.
I would give this a 10/10 !!

Park JiSung's (박지성) last Football Match
I heard about an event which the school publicised last weekin school for the reservation of tickets for a soccer match with Park JiSung, Kim JongKook and Beast. It sounded interesting hence, I went ahead to get registered for my tickets.
It was only
yesterday did I realise it was his last match before he retires from field. I was a little surprised why he decided to retire in his prime. It was something which I noticed from some of the athletes. (pardon my ignorance, I am not well read about this field).
However, what was really interesting was the expectation of a heavily competitive game was instantaneously vapourised once the first goal was scored. It was actually quite a light-hearted game which was super enjoyable. It was a game that was dedicated to Park JiSung. The people were really sporting and the team members gave all their well wishes to him through all the funny cheers after every goal.
The performance by beast was super high!! And their vocals are good!!

Chocomarvel Review
I've been wanting to try this out for the longest period of time so I finally got it!
It is actually a supplement which is known to help with PMS (premenstrual syndrome). I would have cramps on the first or second day of my period and this product seemed like a solution to my problem!
It is a product made by Plant Sterols/ extracts. Hence, it is halal and also suitable for vegetarians. What was super attracting was the Chocolate flavour! Who would be against hot chocolate on a period day. Most my period days I spend hours rolling in bed, blaming why am I born a girl. A treat like this would definitely perk up anyone's period week!
One box of this has about 9 sachets (if I'm not wrong). It is meant to be drank twice a day, but I usually make do with once a day. The chocolate for this is actually really thick. It is not as sweet as instant Milo. Hence, I love it even more! Its a great food item if you are trying to lower your sugar intake.
When I tried it out on my first day, it didn't actually help with the pain, I actually had to take ibuprofen to relief the pain. But it definitely lifted my mood. It was a nice chocolatey treat, without the guilt of a real chocolate treat.
It is actually a supplement which hence it doesn't have a definite prove of its efficacy. However, if you are choosing a healthier form of PMS relief, there's no harm trying this out! In addition, it is actually a product made in Singapore, safety standards for the product is definitely there!
